Examples of guidelines

I. Food & Nutrition

I.A.2  Offer a minimum of five (5) types of fruits, five (5) types of vegetables and two (2) 100% whole grain products at both lunch and dinner (if served).


I.B.1 Implement local food or sustainability program that increases procurement of local and sustainable foods.


I.C.1 Ensure that a minimum of 50% of vending machines offer only healthier food and beverage producst OR fifty percent of each vending machine content is healthier food and beverage products.

 

II. Physical Activity

II.A.4.  Offer a bicycle share/rental program and/or subsidize bicycle purchase program for all students.


II.B.3  Offer a minimum of forty (40) total: 

a.) Diverse non-competitive group fitness opportunities during each academic year 

AND

b.) Diverse competitive sports, intramural or informal recreation opportunities each academic year.


III. Programming

III.A  Implement an integrated, comprehensive wellness program for individuals on campus that is provided annually.


III.B.2 Implement a program/policy that identifies students who may be food insecure and provides options on campus.
